The Design and Process

Each of these manuscripts was designed to model after a time period and design that I felt was representative of that language and its usage in history. The Hebrew manuscript was modeled after a Spanish Haggadah, the Greek manuscript was modeled after a Byzantine illuminated manuscript. The Latin manuscript was modeled after Inuslar/Celtic manuscripts, and the English manuscript was modeled after an English book of hours.

I chose the verse Deuteronomy 6:5 since it is the passage that Jesus quotes from the Torah, and this seems the fitting passage to represent in these 4 languages.

The Prints

Each print is 5x7 in and is matted to fit in an 8x10 inch frame. Our prints are produced using Epson Claria inks.
