The Design and Process
This piece was designed around the a medieval riddle in a Carolingian style. The designs are each drawn, inked with handmade iron gall ink, then painted with egg tempera paint that is handmade with historic pigments on spotted calfskin parchment.
The Prints
Each print is 8x10 inches and is matted to fit in an 11x14 inch frame. Our prints are produced using Epson Claria inks.
