These journals are hand bound in our workshop. They are bound in goatskin parchment, the book block is sewn onto veg-tan leather sewing supports, and the paper comprising the book block is a medium weight, high quality writing paper. They are sturdy, elegant, and coffee resistant.
The binding style is historic, based on extant examples of a specific limp binding style used in Europe dating primarily from the late 15th to early 16th centuries.
The journal is available in two sizes:
-Small - 5.75in. x 4.25in. x 1.25in.
-Medium - 8.75in. x 5.5in. x 1.25in.
Both size contain approximately 200 sheets (400 pages) of paper.
